Asbestos was used in thousands of building materials before 1980, ceiling tiles, furnace and duct insulation, drywall tape, paints and plasters, and linoleum and vinyl flooring. In 1970, it was proven that asbestos fibers were a contributing cause and increased the risk of lung diseases. If asbestos fibers are released in the air, the risk of inhalation poses a health risk.

Asbestos is naturally occurring fibrous mineral, used as insulation in construction and various construction products. Asbestos was a good insulator of heat, noise and also fireproof. It's popularity was due to the inexpensiveness and abundance. It was popular from 1950s to 1990s, however, today we know that asbestos is bad for your health and should be removed. Some of the common uses of asbestos in construction are: spray applied fireproofing, mechanical insulation of boilers, tanks and pipes, linoleum, floor tiles, drywall taping compound, vermiculite, asbestos cement board and tiles, asbestos cement pipes, textured decorative coating, and house siding.

Cam and his crew were exceptionally easy to work with. Our garage was in bad shape and we had planned on utilizing SOS and the team for months. They came and demolished our garage in such a professional manner. Cam came and worked hard all day because he didn't want to let any of his clients down. Even while the night prior there was a huge windstorm and he had to delegate all the various jobs that need prioritizing. The clean up was done effectively and the team works fast and they are a lot of fun as well. Last minute Ryan and I decided a deck would be a great addition. I literally just asked Cam and he said he would come back the following week and build us a beautiful deck where our old leaky garage once stood. The cost of his work is very reasonable. I cannot thank him and his team for all the hard work they did for us!! Lots of appreciation Leiann and Ryan

When we found a large area mold in our attic and basement, we reached to SOS. During the work, they had found more hidden mold and means more work than expected. They returned our home next day and got this resolved properly and thoroughly. We are so satisfied and feel grateful to have SOS team to deal with it.
