What Is Asbestos?

Asbestos Testing in Perth

Asbestos tile testing

Often times, asbestos was mixed with other materials, making it even harder to detect it. Specialized Onsite Services offers professional asbestos testing service to residential, commercial and government clients in Ontario.

We use modern equipment to detect asbestos in your home, office or building. There are two types of asbestos tests: PCM asbestos testing and TEM asbestos testing.

Contact us for more information regarding our asbestos abatement and testing services.

Phase contrast microscopy (PCM) asbestos testing and analysis is quick and affordable and will determine the amount of asbestos fibers in the air, it doesn't test for the presence of asbestos. Basically an air sample for PCM analysis is collected on a filter medium which is dissolved during sample preparation so that the collected particulate can than be viewed under the microscope.

Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) asbestos testing is very expensive and will detect the actual presence of asbestos fibers. Air sampling for the determination of airborne asbestos and phase contrast microscopy analysis is fully described in the US NIOSH analytical method 7400 specified in Ontario Regulation 278/05 as analytics method for detecting the presence of asbestos-containing materials (ACM) in buildings and to the handling of asbestos.

When we found a large area mold in our attic and basement, we reached to SOS. During the work, they had found more hidden mold and means more work than expected. They returned our home next day and got this resolved properly and thoroughly. We are so satisfied and feel grateful to have SOS team to deal with it. We will strongly recommend SOS if someone encounter the similar situation and need professional help.

I cannot recommend this company enough. They really came through when I needed an abestos removal done in a short time frame. Not only was the turnaround between our call and completion fast but they went over and above. They took calls from the buyers lawyer and made sure the process was well documented. I would recommend them to anyone.
